Now I made a lil review about this book.
HALF OF A YELLOW SUN
When reading this novel for the first time, I felt a sensation that made my skin crawl. The story of life in the midst of war. The author can really make the readers lost in her writings, as if we're in the story, to watched.
If I said, it was a sensation that made me shiver, then it wasn’t exaggeration.
This novel is very interesting from start, middle and the last. When we read, we could understanding every characters that Author want told us.
Ugwu, The Observer…
Olanna, The Dramatic…
Odenigbo, The Idealist…
Richard, A true Lover…
Kainene, who had confusing character.
and all guests of Odenigbo’s house with many characters.
They all lived in the novels, sometimes the readers could felt be anyone, when I was reading this novel, sometimes I can become Ugwu, sometimes Olanna, Kainene or Richard. But unfortunately the author did not described, how was Odenigbo, who triying to survived in the war. But it was also a good point to told us.
Finally, as closing I want to say,
“War was always hurting, but the way how to surviving is an art we couldn’t ignoring. If war is the last choice, then live is a opportunity for anyone who want it.”
